One photograph. That is the whole listing.

The Photograph Becomes The Listing You point your camera at the pram in the hallway, the one you have walked around for a year meaning to deal with, and the words come back already written — what it is, where it belongs, the condition as it honestly looks. You typed not one of them, and every line is yours to keep or change or throw out.
Then The Atelier Helps You Say What It Meant A pram in a hallway is never only a pram, so it asks you the part only you can answer.

The Heart Of It

We brought both of ours home in this one. It has done the beach, the botanic gardens, and more laps of our block at two in the morning than I could ever count. There is a scuff on the left footrest where my daughter rested her heel for three years — I stopped trying to get it out a long time ago, and I would not want it gone now. The brake is firm, the harness has never been cut or repaired, and the front wheel squeaks until it warms up, the way it always has. I would put a newborn in it tomorrow. I hope you do.

From the family who had it

One photograph, and the atelier asked the right questions. Every word of it belongs to the family who had it.

Seen And Kept

Paid Before They Knock

Your money is held from the moment you say yes, and reaches them only once you are standing in front of it with the pram in your hands.

Which means the person arriving at a stranger's front door has already committed, and an address travels with a payment rather than with a message.

Take as long as you like when you get there. Lift it, fold it, push it up the hall.

  3. Then the atelier walks you through the heart of it, line by line.
  4. It is listed before the kettle boils.
Or All Of It At Once, Later
  1. Walk round the house at night and photograph the lot.
  2. Sit down on the tram in the morning and choose them.
  3. A first draft arrives for every one of them.
  4. Eight items are listed by the time you reach your stop.
